Memberships Membership in Orienteering Québec (OQ) also includes membership in the Canadian Orienteering Federation (COF), as well as the International Orienteering Federation (IOF). It provides access to the COF newsletter, Orienteering Canada, published four times yearly, as well as to other COF programs (such as the Officials and Coaching certification programs, the training camps, etc.). Membership is a 'must' for anyone who may contemplate Orienteering at events outside our local community. You also have to be a member in order to be eligible to compete in your age category in any A Meet. Members are also covered under the COF liability insurance policy. It also provides some support to COF which no longer receives federal government assistance. Smaller amateur sports and fitness groups, including Orienteering, were cut off a few years ago.

To Join... or to Renew: Membership is available by joining any of the OQ clubs, listed on the Clubs page. Just contact the club of your choice and mail your application (or renewal) to them directly. Current memberships are valid through to March 31 of following year. NB: Orienteering is a completely not-for-profit organization, run entirely by the voluntary efforts of its members. Your support and participation is greatly appreciated.
